Welcome to smyat.ai.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the smyat.ai website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. Operator

2. Description of the Service

smyat.ai is a collaborative expense-sharing platform that allows users to:

• scan restaurant receipts
• extract receipt information using OCR and artificial intelligence
• split bills between participants
• manually edit extracted information
• share bills with others
• calculate settlements
• manage purchased scan credits

The Service is intended to assist users. It does not replace the user's responsibility to verify financial information.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

By using the Service, you confirm that:

• you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
• the information you provide is accurate;
• you will use the Service lawfully.

4. User Accounts

Some features require an account.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining the security of your account;
• protecting your login credentials;
• all activity performed through your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, you should contact us immediately.

5. Receipt Scanning and AI Processing

Receipt scanning uses OCR and artificial intelligence to recognize receipt contents.

Although we continuously improve extraction quality:

• OCR may fail;
• AI may misinterpret receipt information;
• prices or items may be incorrectly recognized;
• merchant information may be incomplete.

You remain responsible for reviewing all extracted information before relying on it. smyat.ai does not guarantee that extracted data is complete or accurate.

6. Scan Credits

Certain receipt scanning features require scan credits.

Unless otherwise stated:

• credits are purchased through the applicable app store;
• credits do not expire;
• unused credits remain available while your account exists;
• credits are non-transferable;
• credits have no cash value.

We may occasionally grant promotional credits under separate conditions.

7. Payments

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers.

For Android purchases, payments are processed through Google Play Billing.

Pricing, taxes, payment methods, and available purchase options may vary depending on your region and platform.

8. Refunds

Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws and the policies of the payment platform through which the purchase was made.

Where permitted by law, scan credits that have already been used are generally not refundable.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• violate applicable laws;
• attempt unauthorized access to the Service;
• interfere with the operation of the Service;
• upload malicious software;
• reverse engineer the Service where prohibited by law;
• abuse automated systems;
• use the Service for fraudulent purposes;
• infringe the rights of others.

10. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload.

By uploading receipt images or other content, you grant us a limited license to process that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

We do not claim ownership of your receipts.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, graphics, logos, documentation, and content, is owned by UX Craft EOOD or its licensors.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property.

12. Availability

We strive to provide a reliable service.

However, we cannot guarantee that the Service will always be:

• uninterrupted;
• error-free;
• continuously available;
• compatible with every device or operating system.

Maintenance, updates, outages, and technical issues may temporarily affect availability.

13. Changes to the Service

We may:

• introduce new features;
• remove existing features;
• modify pricing;
• improve algorithms;
• discontinue parts of the Service.

Where practical, we will provide reasonable notice before significant changes.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• violate these Terms;
• abuse the Service;
• engage in fraudulent activity;
• create security risks.

Users may stop using the Service at any time. Deletion of an account may result in permanent deletion of associated data, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee:

• uninterrupted availability;
• error-free operation;
• perfect OCR recognition;
• perfect AI-generated results.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UX Craft EOOD shall not be liable for:

• indirect damages;
• incidental damages;
• consequential damages;
• loss of profits;
• loss of business opportunities;
• loss of data;
• inaccuracies resulting from OCR or AI processing.

Our total liability arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

17. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates third-party providers, including authentication, hosting, analytics, payment processing, and AI services.

Your use of those services may also be subject to the providers' own terms and privacy policies.

18. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria and applicable European Union legislation.

20. Dispute Resolution

We encourage users to contact us first so we can resolve issues quickly and amicably.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Bulgaria, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When material changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify users through the Service.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
